Midlothian Lodge 211 Officers & Committees

Prepare the Lodge Room for meetings (plan to arrive 30 to  45 minutes before meetings start) and put away after meeting.

  1. The cloth is on the altar, (leave on altar)
  2. The three Lesser Lights (the tapers) work properly
  3. The Holy Bible, Square and Compasses are on the altar, with the Bible closed and marked by the Square and Compasses to Ecclesiastes, chapter 12 (for Master Mason Degrees and stated meetings), Amos, chapter 7 (for Fellowcraft Degrees) or Psalm 133 (for Entered Apprentice Degrees)
  4. The gavels are placed at the stations of the Worshipful Master, Senior and Junior Wardens
  5. All of the officers' chairs, staffs and holders are in their proper positions
  6. The kneeling pad is west of the altar
  7. There is a holder for the Senior Deacon's staff at the altar
  8. Officer's aprons and jewels are on the seat of their chair
  9. Registration sheets and pens are placed near the doors (the sheets should have the date of the meeting and be clearly labeled “Visitors” and “Members,” with room for titles). Be prepared to deliver these to the Secretary, Senior Deacon or Worshipful Master, so visitors may be properly introduced.  These sheets are in Secretary's desk.  Put these out  1/2 hour before the meeting.
  10. See that there is a spare apron at your chair for any Brother who forgets his.
